How green pellets really are

The formula «wood absorbed CO₂, burning gives it back» only holds if the raw material is residual wood from sustainable forestry — not whole trunks felled just for pellets and hauled across the continent.

Where the advantage is real

Sawdust and wood chips from sawmills that would otherwise rot or be burned worse. Short transport routes. A modern boiler with low particulate emissions.

Where marketing begins

«Climate-neutral» without stating the raw-material origin. Comparison only with heating oil, without a heat pump. Particulate matter from poor combustion is ignored.

For readers, that means: pellets can be a sensible biofuel when certificate, origin and storage are right — not when the slogan on the banner is.
